Speaker Hire

Solutions for making sure people can hear, all the words easy, including in large rooms. I feel really fortunate to have been able to help Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, for a number of years now with speaker hire. One of the most challenging venues from a sound perspective was The Imperial Banqueting Suite Preston It’s a beautiful grand venue! Just it’s a big room, and when the stage is in the orientation you’re seeing on the photos, it’s a very wide room for it’s depth. Meaning, special care has to be taken to distribute speakers around the hall, so that people at the back can hear!

Lighting Hire

Lighting states create focus and atmosphere. In the blue photo, see the way that the presentation stage is light, while the rest of the room is darker? Focus is drawn to the main event, (and obviously, we need to be able to see who’s winning the awards!). While the ambient colour tone of the rest of the room, (blue) matches the brand image, or simply just creates an atmosphere to enhance the event. Clear Sound At Meetings & Events

It’s not about hiring speakers and mics: it’s about making sure all your attendees, right to the back, get the same chance to hear easily.

If it’s a meeting with colleagues to discuss a business matter, allow the meeting to flow, by making sure people engage for longer. A roving mic for the audience can help with this.

If it’s a meeting for clients, then make sure they have a positive experience.

My advice is: take getting clear sound for presentations and panels seriously.

It’s not necessarily easy to do. It’s not a given. You can have the best looking room available…but if people get tired of listening at the back, they will disengage. Make sure that doesn’t happen. Seek some free advice while you’re planning.

2. Wedding & Private Party AV Hire In The Preston Area

There are some beautiful wedding venues in Preston and South Ribble. Some already have their own audio visual installations.
Others however either don’t have everything needed. Or, are blank canvases. And it’s those latter two cases where PA Hire In Lancashire from ST | AV can help.

AV during the ceremony

Sometimes sound and lighting isn’t appropriate during the ceremony.

And when it is needed, it’s important it’s not taking centre stage. And that it’s simply enhancing the feeling.

That said, in the last 21 + years while I’ve been helping couples with sound at weddings, I’ve been asked hundreds of times to provide:

  1. Mic hire: when otherwise people wouldn’t be heard speaking at the back.
  2. Speaker hire for music: when it’s really important to the bride and groom that the music sounds has impact, and sound beautiful

3. AV during the reception

When it comes to the afternoon and on into the evening, it’s time to push the entertainment and fun.

Ask us
about whether hiring a sound system is a good idea for your wedding.

Usually people come to us when they want the speeches to be heard. And the music to be impactful on the dancefloor.

If you’re hiring a DJ or band, then maybe they’re bringing the PA system.

But maybe not: check with them, is that equipment included? Increasingly we are receiving calls and emails from soon to be weds, enquiring about hire because it transpires that their DJ “isn’t providing the speakers”.

Or another trend is that people are choosing to run their own playlist for the dancefloor. And therefore do need to
hire speakers
