Events That Look and Sound better
CONFERENCE AUDIO VISUAL HIRE LANCASHIRE
A Lancashire based AV Hire Company
When we speak with our clients, they consistently tell us that “reliability” and a “stress-free event” matter most when planning meetings, seminars, and conferences.
Does that sound like what you’re looking for?
Well…initially, it’s not about what speakers and mics you hire. It’s about what of support is going to get you to where you want to be at the end of the event.
Namely;
1. Have you a technical person on your team, who can set up and operate the equipment?
2. Or would you be confident if we set up for you, but leave you to run it?
3. Or do you want a guarantee that you can focus on other aspects
of the event: safe in the knowledge that there’s an experienced
audio visual technician looking after all aspects of sound
and screens?
It’s common for sound and screen rental companies to offer these three service types: aka Dry Hire, Delivered Hire, or Operated Hire.
Some of our clients come to us with a budget. Which is absolutely fine: when you know exactly what you need, because you’ve achieved success at that specific event type before.
If it’s a new event though, or you’ve not much experience before organising this sort of thing before, then please do seek the advice of a local audio visual / speaker hire company before setting budget expectations.
Why? Because many times we’ve had enquires like “how much to hire a microphone”. Where someone’s effectively looking to work out how many microphones they can get within a generic budget, that’s been decided before it’s been worked out exactly what needs to be achieved.
Again, sometimes there’s nothing wrong with just hiring speakers and mics: but only once you’re clear what’s involved in, and who is going to be capable of reliably delivering setting up and operating.
What are current clients are usually asking us to do, is literally go right up to their CEO, other C Suite figures or key clients, and mic them up. And all that’s usually happening right before they need to start a presentation, or when the trying to network with people at an event.
Needless to say, experience, charisma and tact are key to making sure that the technology is handled, but in a way that’s in obtrusive to your key people and clients.

Screen and Speaker Hire
Streamed / Hybrid meeting. Places For People Preston
A lot of people who organise business events across Lancashire get in touch with us, asking for something like “microphone hire”, “speaker hire”, or “screen hire”.
Here are the first questions I usually ask. Perhaps you could use them as a checklist to advance your planning. Or
call us now and we’ll listen to what your plans are and offer you some free advice.
What are you looking to do: what sort of even is it? Who’s attending: colleagues, or clients? Who are you organising it for:
yourself, your boss?
How many people are going to be speaking simultaneously? We advise a microphone for each person speaking in a dialogue.
Avoid the pass the mic game. Aside from the fact is unhygenic, it looks unprofessional.
How many people are attending? For groups 20-60 people, a two speaker PA system may provide intelligible sound right to
the back of the room. For audiences above 60 people, you should consider additional speakers for nearer
the back of the room. See this article which looks into why
Are you showing anything on a screen? What’s the nature of your presentation? The most appropriate screen size depends
on how detailed your slides / video are. Think carefully: are you sure your audience will be able to read those labels on
tables in your presentation right from the back of the room?
Has the venue you’re in got any screens? And how do you connect to them. Always test any in house tech when you check
a venue out. Don’t just presume your laptop will connect, actually test it. Or, ask an AV company to include supported
hire. Often when we hire mics and speakers for an event, we will also provide support to connect
our client’s laptop to installed screens.
Having not had the chance to meet yet, I appreciate I’m asking you to take my word for it where I’ve given advice on this page.
So, two things. Firstly, see a range of excellent and impartial reviews over on our Google business page.
Understandably, we are extremely proud that we’ve managed to keep so many customers happy!
We’re also really protective of our reputation. Which manifests itself in two ways. Firstly were quite choosy about which events are a good fit for us to help. And also, that we check at various points throughout a hire, that it’s going as our client had hoped.
And let’s connect on linked in: there are some independent event organisers who will stand testimony to the support with sound that I offer. Would you like to hear from one of them references?
Also if you want to meet in person, let me know and I’ll come over to you.
