STAGE HIRE IN LANCASHIRE
STAGE PLATFORM RENTAL
Raise your event, and make sure everyone can see from the back.
Stage hire in Lancashire, from ST | AV.
In case you didn’t know, mobile stage platforms are created from “modular” “decks”.
1 To make things easy, the deck size used is either 2m x 1m, or 1m x 0.5m per piece. So clients either specify for us the estimate size required for the whole stage, and then we work out how many pieces of deck are required.
Or we can advise based on typical performance types, (see below).
2 And then, there’s a choice of height. Starting from 200mm above the ground, to 1000m (1m).
3 And finally, there are hard where considerations.

Types of Stage Hire
Thinking about the types of events, that have got the most value from ST AV:
Three types comes to mind, weddings, business events, and for music.
These require slightly different set ups. So I’ve written a section for each on this page. And included photos from some of the people we’ve helped.
My hope is this helps you decided what you’re going to do, to get your main event up, front and center.
Wedding Stage Rental
For wedding stage hire, our experience is it that this comes in two forms:
For the ceremony, to help in making a beautiful spectacle.
This is sometimes referred to as a “podium” or “platform”.
With the sole intention of getting the bride and groom seen by the people at the back. This is of course mostly important for ceremonies where the bride and groom are seated, so for instance traditional Jewish and some Hindu weddings.
And then in the evening for the reception, so that the band and DJ provide an entertainment focal point.
In the photo I’ve enclosed of the band playing, we’re at the splendid Whitewell Inn in the Hodder Valley.
Having the band raised on a platform stage, mean that they could fully interact with the dance floor.
And created the “show” that the bride and groom really wanted, (they were music / gig fans). So this made sense, and resulted in some really beautiful moments, (and photos!)

Mobile Stage Rental For Events
This is all about making sure that guest and delegates are engaged in the presentation.
Perhaps in a small room where the presenter is stood, a platform stage isn’t necessary. But if you think about a few hours worth of presentation, especially if for some of the time the presenter our panel asset, having a stage is going to have a greatly positive impact on engagement of your audience.
Body language of course accounts for a large amount of our understanding of language. So if you’re struggling to see from the back, you might as well have joined remotely.
We Don't Hire Outdoor Trailer Stages
Just so you know, so we can focus on a smaller number of things, (but do those to an exceptionally high standard), we don’t have trailer stages in our inventory.
There are however some great, dedicated trailer stage hire companies in the North of the UK. So we’ll let them do their thing and hopefully they can help you. (By the way if you would like a referral to one of the firms that we trust, please ask).
That said…
We Do hire Small Portable Stage Hire
If you’re holding an outdoor announcement event, then we may have a solution for you.
Perhaps it’s an opening event, a ground breaking, or topping out ceremony,
or a speech of a political nature…
Here you’ll see how we’ve helped Glencar Construction with a ground-breaking ceremony at one of their sites in Rochdale.
Andy Burnham and other local officials, addressed a crowd of around 100 people, to announce the breaking of ground on the new Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing Centre.
That’s a simple solution, to quickly get the person speaking up above head height.
While still, allowing an overhead gazebo to keep the rain off them.
In this case, the stage deck was 200m high above the tarmac.
